HOPE & LOVE Bologna Blue Corduroy Jacket

Short, wide and filled with good messages.

A shorter version of our timeless corduroy coat, crafted from heavier 100% cotton corduroy in a beautiful Bologna Blue – a rich, sophisticated shade that brings colour to both spring and autumn.

The jacket has a short, wide silhouette with a softly rounded hem and generous three-quarter-length sleeves. A wide pleat at the centre back opens gently as you move, adding subtle flare, beautiful movement and extra room for layering.

Two large patch pockets at the front give the jacket its relaxed, functional character. One pocket carries an extra-special message: LOVE, embroidered by hand. Turn around and you will also find HOPE, hand-embroidered across one back shoulder – meaningful artisan details made to be seen.

This shorty jacket is not lined. The handmade process creates beautiful small variations, making every lining – and every jacket – completely unique.

Biscuit-coloured contrast stitching runs throughout the design, highlighting the shape and construction. Large, light-coloured statement buttons are sewn on with dark thread for an unexpected graphic contrast. Our signature “happiness” appliqué patches in Hindi add the final unmistakable Agencies Turquoise touch.

Cool, colourful and timeless – a jacket carrying a little HOPE, LOVE and HAPPINESS wherever it goes.

Q & A

MATERIAL Q

How do you produce your fabrics?
We have sourced raw materials from our fabric manufacturers in India since 2004. We dye, print, and embroider everything ourselves.

Do you work exclusively with natural materials?
Yes, we mainly use pure cotton, linen, and silk. Occasionally, we create garments in viscose.

Do you work with multiple suppliers around the world?
No. Apart from our silk supplier in China, everything has been handled in-house by our long-standing and only manufacturer in India since 2004.

WASHING Q

Can your cotton garments be washed at 40°C?
Yes, but we always recommend washing them at 30°C especially our traditionally handprinted block prints.

How should your silk garments be washed?
For a longer lifespan, we recommend hand washing. However, they can also be machine washed on a short, gentle cycle in a laundry bag, using detergent suitable for silk or wool, or olive oil soap.

Is there anything special to consider when washing batik-patterned garments?
Yes, do not leave batik-patterned garments to soak in water.

TIPS FOR A LONGER GARMENT LIFE Q

Wash with care
Wash only when needed and choose a low temperature whenever possible. We recommend washing cotton at 30°C.

Be gentle with delicate fabrics
Silk can often simply be aired between wears. When washing is needed, hand wash whenever possible. If using a washing machine, choose a short, gentle cycle and use a laundry bag. Never soak batik-patterned garments.

Embrace the natural texture
Cotton, linen, and silk can be ironed, but they do not have to be. Leave them unironed for a softer, more relaxed look.

ABOUT US Q

Do you work with external designers?
No. I’m Elina, and I design all of our styles.

How do you collaborate with your manufacturing partner in India?
I spend three months of every year on-site in India. Together with our local team, I develop each new collection: from season to season, year after year.

INFORMATION

Length: 65 cm

Fit: Flexible in size. Elina is 172 cm tall and wears size L/XL because she prefers an oversized look.

Care: Turn the coat inside out and machine wash on a gentle cycle. Gently reshape while damp. No ironing needed, but it can be ironed inside out if preferred.

The more you wear it, the better it gets!
