UMBRA CAPSULE COLLECTION – Our Fall / Winter Story

UMBRA means shadow in Latin – and that is exactly where this collection began.

Sitting in India last December, surrounded by colours, fabrics, artisan work and that special Indian winter light, I started giving life to what would become our UMBRA CAPSULE COLLECTION.

A collection for the other side of our year. The softer light. The shadows. The colder days when life slows down and we move indoors.

We are summer people at heart – but there is something beautiful about this slower season too. UMBRA is our way of embracing it.

A Little Heavier – Still Soft, Still Us

For UMBRA, we move into slightly heavier cottons and crisp but soft poplins – fabrics with a little more substance for fall and winter, without losing that easy feeling we love.

Our prints are blockprinted by hand, carrying all those tiny irregularities that make artisan work so alive and individual.

Then we add our signature embroideries – sometimes subtle, sometimes playful – creating texture, richness and another layer of craftsmanship.

Because for us, it is always the details that make a style come alive.

Velvet – With a Touch of Gold

Viscose velvet has become one of those qualities we return to again and again for the colder season.

It has that beautiful soft fall, richness and movement – luxurious enough for a party, but relaxed enough to become part of everyday life.

For UMBRA, we add delicate gold-thread embroideries. Never too shiny. Never too much. Just small touches of gold that catch the light and add another dimension to the deep softness of the velvet.

Wear it for something special.
Or make an ordinary Tuesday feel a little more special.

Cozy, Comfy & Made for Cocooning

A big part of the UMBRA CAPSULE COLLECTION is simply about how we actually want to live during this part of the year.

When it gets darker outside, we slow things down. We cocoon. We want clothes that feel soft, relaxed and comforting – but still make us happy when we put them on.

So we live in jerseys and terry loops, easy shapes and flexible fits. We add hand-dyed tie & dyes, embroideries, unexpected details and cool patches.

Comfy doesn't have to mean boring.

Quite the opposite.

Artisan Work Makes the Difference

Hand blockprints. Hand-dyed tie & dyes. Embroideries. Gold threads. Raw details. Patches and little messages.

These are the things that run through UMBRA – and through everything we do.

We love when you can see and feel that hands have been involved in making a garment. Those tiny differences are not imperfections to us.

They are part of the beauty.

They give each piece character, soul and that slightly imperfect individuality we love.

Our Slow Season – Just the Way We Like It

UMBRA is about slowing it down.

About dressing for darker mornings, cozy afternoons, dinners with friends, everyday life and those days when staying home feels like the best plan in the world.

It is feminine, relaxed, playful and a little unexpected.

Pieces to mix. Pieces to layer. Pieces to keep.

Not created for one moment or one trend – but to become those forever styles you pull out again when the season changes.

And maybe that is what our fall and winter really should be about.

Less rush. More feeling. More joy.
