Our much-loved oversized blouse has been reimagined as a full shirt, crafted from wonderfully crisp cotton poplin for a fresh, structured yet easy-to-wear look.

The clean Nehru collar is balanced by a playful button placket where some buttons are visible and others cleverly hidden. An intentional mix of different buttons adds character and gives the shirt its unexpected, collected-over-time feeling.

Designed with long sleeves and small slits, making them easy to roll up for a more relaxed look. Topstitched raw edges at the sleeves and bottom hem add the cool, slightly undone finish we love.

Our signature “happiness” appliqués in Hindi are embroidered onto colourful printed cotton-voile patches – small artisan details that make the classic white shirt unmistakably Agencies Turquoise.

Wear it buttoned as a shirt, open as a light jacket or layered over dresses, skirts and trousers. A timeless wardrobe piece with plenty of personality.

Q & A

How do you produce your fabrics?
We have sourced raw materials from our fabric manufacturers in India since 2004. We dye, print, and embroider everything ourselves.

Do you work exclusively with natural materials?
Yes, we mainly use pure cotton, linen, and silk. Occasionally, we create garments in viscose.

Do you work with multiple suppliers around the world?
No. Apart from our silk supplier in China, everything has been handled in-house by our long-standing and only manufacturer in India since 2004.

Can your cotton garments be washed at 40°C?
Yes, but we always recommend washing them at 30°C especially our traditionally handprinted block prints.

How should your silk garments be washed?
For a longer lifespan, we recommend hand washing. However, they can also be machine washed on a short, gentle cycle in a laundry bag, using detergent suitable for silk or wool, or olive oil soap.

Is there anything special to consider when washing batik-patterned garments?
Yes, do not leave batik-patterned garments to soak in water.

Wash with care
Wash only when needed and choose a low temperature whenever possible. We recommend washing cotton at 30°C.

Be gentle with delicate fabrics
Silk can often simply be aired between wears. When washing is needed, hand wash whenever possible. If using a washing machine, choose a short, gentle cycle and use a laundry bag. Never soak batik-patterned garments.

Embrace the natural texture
Cotton, linen, and silk can be ironed, but they do not have to be. Leave them unironed for a softer, more relaxed look.

Do you work with external designers?
No. I’m Elina, and I design all of our styles.

How do you collaborate with your manufacturing partner in India?
I spend three months of every year on-site in India. Together with our local team, I develop each new collection: from season to season, year after year.
