Sometimes it starts with a shape, sometimes a detail, a colour or simply a feeling. Elina turns those ideas into sketches – and then they make their way to India, where one very important person takes over.

Nearly 20 Years of Creating Together
Elina creates the sketches and Suraj brings them to life, transforming each design into the many individual patterns needed to create a garment.
We have worked together for nearly 20 years.
Over that time, Suraj has come to know our shapes, proportions and way of designing almost instinctively. A seemingly simple dress, shirt or pair of trousers can require many individual pattern pieces before the first sample is ready.
Then comes fitting, adjusting and refining until the garment has the shape, movement and feeling we were looking for. It is a process we have repeated together collection after collection, year after year.
Made From Scratch
Our collections are not created by choosing ready-made styles from a catalogue.
Everything starts from scratch.
That gives us the freedom to create the relaxed silhouettes, small details and distinctive shapes that have become part of Agencies Turquoise over the years. It also means that there are real people behind every piece.
Our team in India isn't simply somewhere our clothes are produced. They have been part of our journey for more than two decades.
They are the heart of everything we do. ♡
Slow Fashion Since 2004
You might have heard a lot about slow fashion in recent years. We've been living it since 2004.
For us, slow fashion isn't about following a trend. It is about creating styles with a life beyond one season, working with people we know and taking the time to make things properly. Some Agencies Turquoise styles return year after year. Others evolve through new colours, fabrics, prints or details.
We don't believe a favourite piece suddenly becomes irrelevant because a new season begins. We want our clothes to be worn, loved and rediscovered. From Elina's first sketch to Suraj's patterns and the hands of our team in India, every collection is the result of a collaboration that has grown stronger over time.
And nearly 20 years later, we're still creating it together.
